Tilford was elected to the Surrey I’Anson League in 1904 and has played continuously in what is believed to be the oldest village league ever since.

The I’Anson Constitution & Rules are summarised here

The Club runs two Saturday X1’s, with the 1st XI in division 1, and the 2nd XI in division 3 (of 6) in what is a thriving league. Fixtures usually start at 1:00 and consist of a 90 over match, with the side batting first able to bat for a maximum of 48 overs. This ensures the possibility of all five results …. win, loss, winning draw, losing draw, and the very occasional tie!

The Club also runs a very popular Sunday side, playing all its fixtures at Home and enjoying the competition of such famous touring sides as Woodpeckers, Refreshers, Flemish Giants and Jack Frost to name a few.
