Tilford was elected to the Surrey I’Anson League in 1904 and has played continuously in what is believed to be the oldest village league ever since.
The Club runs three Saturday X1’s, with the 1st XI in division 1, the 2nd XI in division 2 and the newly promoted 3rd XI in division 6 in what is a thriving league. Fixtures start at 1:00 and are a hybrid of limited-overs & traditional matches.
The limited overs format is a straight 45 overs per side match with the team with the highest score winning and bonus points available.
The traditional format consists of a 90 over match, with the side batting first able to bat for a maximum of 48 overs. This ensures the possibility of all five results …. win, loss, winning draw, losing draw, and the very occasional tie!
The 1st and 2nd XI play on Tilford Green and the 3rd XI play at Elstead.
The Club also runs a very popular Sunday side, playing all its fixtures at Home and enjoying the competition of such famous touring sides as Woodpeckers, Refreshers, The Authors, The Cricket Society and Jack Frost to name a few.
